'Do or Die' movement by 10323 teachers: Massive protest hits the Rajpath of Agartala as Ministers, MLAs have been blocked in Secretariat with Gherao

AGARTALA, Sep 23 (TIWN): Breaking the extreme level of patience and tolerance, the ‘Deprived’ 10323 teachers on wednessday have came into massive protest infront of Secretariat against the State Government’s betrayal of promising jobs and not keeping their promise after coming into power. In a thousands of numbers the terminated teachers on today moved towards the secrateriat to ask the govt when will this period of uncertainity and depression will end. To stop them police imposed “lathi charge†on them and injured many of the agitators including women. However, police couldn’t stop their strong will power and as they were majority in number police failed to stop them from their curriculum.
One of the teacher said, “This is a do or die movement for us. We will sit here til the government gives a permanent solution to us. No matter if we have to sit here for hours or days, we will. This govt can’t escape like that, they are answerable to us.”

Another teacher gave a shocking remark saying, "BJP Govt is forcing terrorism in state by its cheating and betray to 10323 teachers". The unidentified teacher said, it was the BJP leaders who did one after one cases in the Supreme Court and also cancelled 12,000 posts which were created by the then Left Govt. "If anything wrong happens now, we are not responsible because, the BJP Govt is instigating terrorism through us", said the teachers. The SC-led terminated teachers are jobless for last 6 months and many died in hyper tension, heart attacks.
However, making a 360 degree turn, Education Minister Ratanlal Nath on yesterday press conference said that BJP never promised to give jobs to 10323 teachers and they only promised to solve 10323 teachers issues.
Although what is the difference between giving jobs and permanent solutions, it has not been explained and also BJP promised to change a law to keep the 10323 teachers in previous posts, which was much propagated by Assam Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma but that chapter is also closed.
