10,000 Recruitment ? Cabinet decides to appoint over 10,000 employees but in Phased-Manner in Fixed Pays, not above 2,000 appointments in 1st Year : Terminated 10323 Teachers may apply till 31st March, 2023

AGARTALA, Sep 22 (TIWN): Not much hope neither for the unemployed youths nor for the terminated 10323 teachers from CM Biplab Deb's yesterday's announcement about 10,000 posts' recruitment. As per Education Minister Ratanlal Nath's press meet's primary impression reported from the Secretariat around 10,868 posts may be total recruited out of which 1,280 posts will be LDC and 9268 posts for multipurpose workers and other few posts. For these posts the 10,323 teachers may apply till 31, 2023 and these jobs will be Fixed Pay system and will be taken by a New institutions but not TPSC. Unemployed youths will ofcourse appear in those posts but as per the basic idea gained from the press meet, it's visible that those 10,000 posts will not be taken immediately but in phased manner and it may take 5 years also as in first over not above 2000 posts can be appointed as per Finance Dept's objections. But Minister Ratanlal Nath has said that although fixed scale will be given but these posts are regular posts and open for unemployed and 10323 teachers both sections for Group-C and Group-D posts.

Addressing media, Education Minister Ratanlal Nath said, "We are committed to 10323 in humanitarian angle. A historical decision has been taken by the cabinet under this BJP Govt to save the 10323 teachers' lives, although they are the luggage of the previous Left Govt and now dumped on us. But our CM Biplab Deb did not see any colour but Manik Sarkar's team is playing politics with that".

"However, after Assembly ended on yesterday, an emergency basis cabinet decision was taken as CM was going out of the state. This decision was accepted by the Cabinet and now as per the decision, the terminated 10323 ad-hoc teachers will be appointed as per Para 17 and Para 18 of Supreme Court's verdict", he said.

"They (10323 teachers) can apply for non-technical posts with age relaxations only up to 31st March, 2023",  said Nath.

"Then they (10323 teachers) and our unemployed youths can be appointed as multi-purpose staffs regardless category of Group-C and Group-D just like banks have multipurpose staffs but not categorized as Group-C and Group-D. The recruitment of the vacant posts may be done in "phased manner. But, financed dept said that this year the employment should be below 2000 and if the 10323 teachers can't pass in these upcoming exams then they will be recruited through outsourcing", said Minister Ratanlal Nath.

So, basically there is no immediate solution for the 10323 teachers. Also Minister Ratanlal Nath has said that if 10323 teachers can not pass in those tests, then may be through outsourcing they will be recruited but if the recruitment is in phase-wise and 2000 appointments hardly in the first year, when the process will be ended and what about the those families where the terminated ad-hoc teachers died ? There is still massive confusion existing.
