AGARTALA, Sep 18 (TIWN): On a dreadful incident, 7-8 miscreants allegedly RSS activists attacked on minority families, beaten them badly infront of police and police allegedly did not take any step despite of being present in the place. The incident occurred in Agartala’s Bhati Abhaynagar area on Friday.
Reportedly, a group of miscreants who openly claimed themselves as RSS activists came along with police at that area. Without telling anything they entered to their home and started beating them. All of the victims belongs to minority families. The local people alleged that the police were in support of the miscreants and on being asked one lady constable replied that they are doing ‘justice’.
The incident was followed by a girl who escaped from her home and came here along with a boy of this locality. However, the locals of that area called her guardians and sent her back with them. The matter was closed at that time but suddenly the alleged RSS activists came and attacked on them in the name of serving justice. And the shocking part is, they brought police along with them in that attack.
One of the victim said, “ RSS will come and beat us, police will take no action against them, is this the Country we are living in? If they dont want us to stay here then tell them to say that to us, we will leave but we can’t tolerate this torture.”
The miscreants also attacked on an one year old and his mother, her mother asked, “ what was my child’s fault? I want justice against it.”
Later, a huge force of police came to the spot to tackle the situation. This incident left everyone in shock. The role of police under BJP era again came under questions after this incident.
