AGARTALA, Sep 16 (TIWN): More unemployment nationally have been predicted by CMIE in the coming days, alerting about the job-loss chances of people amid the pandemic. If compared to other states, the situation of Tripura has been worse and CMIE has listed Tripura's name at the second topper rank. But, so far there is no job recruitment plan by the State Government whereas in last 6 months over 8000 people turned jobless among 10323 teachers as per SC's verdict and also contractual employees in various sectors, including private sectors witnessed either job-loss or discontinuation of their service period for the pandemic situation. Before the Independence Day, a popular small scale businessman in garment industry was seen selling flags at limited numbers on road as he released all his employees due to the pandemic losses.

As per CMIE’s monthly data, Tripura has recorded 27.9% unemployment rate, which is the second highest in whole country after Haryana which is at 33.5%.
