AGARTALA, Sep 13 (TIWN): Tripura's sole Biomedical Instrumentation Engineer Ratul Dey has expressed his surprises over how politicians are giving him negative remarks in exchange of his good works in midnight at the GB hospital on 11th September, when he was called by the local MLA requesting him to restore the oxygen pressure due to which patients were in suffocation. On Friday midnight suddenly the young man Ratul Dey had to rush to GB COVID-Treatment Centre after getting a call from Former Health Minister and local MLA of Agartala-6, Sudip Roy Barman to work with the GB hospital oxygen pressure issue. He rushed to GB with the MLA at night 1.45 AM and fixed the issue when Dr Kanak Bhattacharjee was also with him. But on the next day, BJP MP Pratima Bhowmik accused the midnight team as "intriguer" to defame the Government by calling this humanitarian work as an 'act of sabotage'. Ratul Dey also asked the inquiry committee to do all inquiries and if necessary and even to arrest him because he has all the evidences with him but asked, what evidence the MP had before referring the word 'sabotage' ?

"If it's an act of sabotage, then prove it and also if it was so, then also it is not my business to know who was in this act of sabotage. I helped the leader of your Govt but now why am I blamed for my good work ?", asked Ratul Dey.

Dey also said, the machine was not in correct position because proper technical persons are not appointed in that place. Ratul Dey is helping GB hospital from 2007-08 as there is no technical person in this field.  But for COVID situation, he was working totally at free of cost in GB hospital.

Referring the so called Technical Team by the MP which is investigating the matter, Ratul Dey said, the technical team itself is not qualified to stay in the positions according to their degrees and subjects of qualification of the persons there. 

"By such remarks, only narrow mind inside of the persons has been revealed", Ratul Dey said in counter against the sabotage remark.

Earlier a Doctor was suspended in Bhagat Singh COVID-Care centre in a similar political tussle and now Ratul Dey is targeted. It seems, common men, good people are becoming scapegoats in the political issues in Tripura.

The GB investigation committees never did justice in the COVID time from 3 days old baby's death to other issues but now in a non-issue, they officials have become active as their ego is hurt.
