Congress united again in Tripura

AGARTALA, Sep 13 (TIWN): Tripura Congress's infighting which started from the ending period of former State Congress President Pradyot Manikya's Presidentship who quit the party for ideological differences, today that infighting brought to a conclusion by national leader cum Tripura Congress I/C-Bhupen Borah who was in marathon meetings from yesterday with various groups in the party.

Today all the top Congress leaders shared a same dais and called for a 12 hours strike on 21st September.

Tripura Congress President Pijush Biswas, former Presidents Gopal Roy, Birjit Sinha, leader Subal Bhowmik all remained present and assured the people of the state that no peaceless situation will erupt in the part from now. 

On behalf of the Congress, Gopal Roy also said sorry to the people for the long time infighting which erupted unexpectedly but promised now Congress will be stronger.

Nevertheless, Bhupen Borah has analyzed the situation and said as due to COVID-19 National Congress leaders could not come in state, thus it might have happened. 

In a way, Bhupen Borah has also accepted that more national limelight on Tripura is needed, assured that Tripura CM's recent statement against media will be taken to the national level, also at the Parliament.
