AGARTALA, Sep 10 (TIWN): When livelihood is at risk, unity becomes the only means for survival. This was seen in 10323 teachers protest at Khumulwng on Thursday where teachers from various organizations joined unitedly to raise voice against the State Govt’s delay game with the terminated teachers futures and attitude of denying pre-poll promises to them. From the very beginning of the protest programme, there were huge pressures from the police force and on each road connecting to ADC Headquarter Khumulwng, police were set for checking. Police searched each vehicle / each goer and 10323 protesters were sent back to home. But after all these, protest turned massive at Khumulwng and at last police could not control the teachers who were in huge numbers and the teachers successfully completed a rally amid constantly were being chased by police. However, no unwanted incident happened and the protest ended peacefully. Teachers said, Implementation of SC's Verdict of 5th August is the main cause of the Protest.
Teachers, cried, screamed and warned the Govt to solve the issue at the earliest and to fulfill the pre-poll promise which said, “To give a Permanent Solution of 10323 Teachers Problems”.
