KAILASHAHAR / DHARMANAGAR, Sep 8 (TIWN): In Damchara brutal murder case of Kritanjoy Reang, prime accused Rahim Mia has been arrested from Kailshahar.
Rahim Mia is an elephant rider was absconding and the protesters of Damchara allegedly turned violent on second day of the protest and broke Police vehicle. Today on 3rd day the prime accused is arrested.
He was found in a forest of Kailshahar. Local people also have him little food as the accused was hungry for 3 days and then police took him.
He is the main accused in brutal murder case of Kritanjoy Reang along with injuring Kritanjoy Reang’s wife and daughter severely.
The Reang community man Kritanjoy had been killed, whereas two women (Deceased’s Wife and Daughter) are severely inured by an elephant-rider.
This incident took place at Damchara’s Ranajati Para’s Ward No-1.
To save these two women, the family’s head died after the criminal attacked him with sharp weapon.
Based on locals’ information it was Damchara police who rescued the mother and daughter. Police also chased the criminal, who is a resident of Kailashahar but when police were near to him, leaving the elephants on road, he escaped from the spot.
Today he has been successfully arrested giving a stop to the continuous protest.
Locals have demanded jobs and financial compensation to the victim family of Kritanjoy Reang.
