AGARTALA, Sep 4 (TIWN): The much hyped ‘Atma Nirvar’ motivated dialogues from Delhi are practically meaningless, when it’s about the ground reality. TIWN surveyed work-opportunity conditions of the Battala and other areas of the state's capital city Agartala but the situation remained as it is without development from the previous survey’s time and the workers have slammed the BJP Govt for damaging the economy. The workless situation led a worker to tell TIWN, “We can’t show our faces to the families after whole day’s struggles. Heavy domestic tensions, fights happen as we are unable to feed our family properly. Incomes are almost stopped. We are almost to die without minimum earning. If the Govt could show us a path to work then we could survive. Earlier huge works we used to get but now from Govt, we hardly get works for only 1 day out of 10 days and no wage has been hiked, rather everything is in minus. I can tell you before camera that from this Govt, we have got nothing”.

“We are neither getting MGNREGA works nor TUEP works. Also our ‘bhata’ (social allowance) is not given properly. No help from Govt and we have only option that is to commit suicide”, said another worker Tinku Deb there.
