AGARTALA, Aug 27 (TIWN): Followed by mass protests against the BJP Govt’s autocracy in Tripura, Tripurainfoway.com (TIWN) Editor Saumen Sarkar in his Wednesday evening Facebook said, “Today is a very special day led me to come live. The way, protests erupted and how after police arrested opposition leader Manik Sarkar and next release of the leader from police is itself a great success. Police’s role is also very satisfactory and it is clear that police also are not working as per the instruction to them from CM Biplab Deb. Each attack on opposition or any leader including BJP’s founding leader Prasenjit Chakraborty is done under instruction of Biplab Deb, which has been said by Prasenjit Chakraborty himself. Even latest attacks on Pabitra Kar, Birjit Sinha raise finger at the Chief Minister only”. “Today democracy is restored and this fire will not stop”, added the Editor.

“CPI-M’s protest’s demands of August 26 are very genuine demands. Infact, what BJP had promised in its Vision Document, these demands are very less than that. But from morning the way BJP activists planned attacked on the programmes from Dhanpur to South Tripura, at the end could not be succeeded. Police’s role is praiseworthy”, said Saumen Sarkar.

“This is the sign that Democracy has been restoring in state and overcoming all fears, common men are joining protests, raising voice against the injustice. I appreciate Tripura Police too. Just because an illiterate minded person in power and police have to listen all illegal orders from him, it’s not acceptable everytime. Police did not cooperate with goons, which is a great development”, said Sarkar.

“Tripura is ours. We can’t give away Tripura in the hands of criminals. No Govt is actually existing in state and only political goons have tried to control the state. On the other side, there is no development. No DA, no raise and now amid COVID-19, little children are bound to sit on grass in the presence of snakes and leeches”, he said.

“One thing is clear to the BJP also, they have lost public support and thus they have nothing to place before the public except attacks and violence so that anyhow, they can stay in the power”, Saumen Sarkar said.

“This protest fire need to be continued. Because they are in power, they can’t do anything”, said Sarkar further requesting people not to be afraid of being attacked or arrested, jailed if they want Democracy to be restored.

The Editor also raised question, why Biplab Deb Govt could not submit any chargesheet against Badal Choudhury whereas last year just to take a photo of Badal Choudhury in the lockup, this old man was stretched from ILS to West Agartala Police station.

He further asked all the people who are voiceless including unemployed to 10323 to demonstrate against injustice, reminding the Govt about Vision Document’s promise.

“It’s really a great news that people are no more afraid of the terror and attacks under BJP Govt”, said Sarkar.
