AGARTALA, Aug 26 (TIWN): Red flags have flooded capital city Agartala as the CPI-M staged massive protest there with 16 points of demands. Due to COVID-19 and pre-COVID political violence, people faced much attacks, fear factors were at high but breaking the shells, today CPI-M's mammoth rally has shocked the ruling party's eyes.

CPI-M’s rally on Wednesday turned larger than expectation, joined by many voters who voted for BJP in 2018.

However, former CM Manik Sarkar was detained under police’s request and Manik Sarkar today asked comrades to cooperate with police as police are not anyone’s enemy. But, the CPI-M agitators stopped the bus and brought back Manik Sarkar from bus and the bus remained immovable due to protest.

Tripura Ex-CM Manik Sarkar challenged to ‘pull out’ BJP Govt from power, saying, such an inhuman, pro-corporate, anti-poor Govt has no right to hold the power.

Sarkar was addressing in Agartala’s mammoth rally of the CPI-M and said, everywhere there are waves of changes and soon it will hit the base of the BJP.

“In the name of COVID-19, BJP Govt although suppressing the voice of the common men, but they are enjoying violation of own law and all COVID-19 rules are imposed on the non-BJP voices. In few states, they are even holding rallies amid COVID for election. But before COVID-19, the country is deadly affected with economic crisis. Thousands of people left home in Tripura due to no-work in the state and massive unemployed problems amid loot era across state. But the BJP Govt did not help the poor financially, neither could take any step to control the Corona-virus pandemic and the numbers of deaths are reporting with huge community transmission”, said Manik Sarkar.
