Tension prevails in Bishalgarh after political clash : Activists, Police personnel injured

AGARTALA, Aug 20 (TIWN): Massive clash occurred in Bishalgarh subdivision under Sipahijala District between Congress and BJP activists. The fight erupted between these two political parties on the birth anniversary of former PM Rajiv Gandhi.
Addressing the media about this fight, Congress leader Subal Bhowmik said that when the Congress activists from different parts of South and Gomati district were coming towards Agartala to celebrate the Birth Anniversary of Former PM, few goons of ruling BJP stopped them in Bishalgarh and attacked on them. The attack was completely pre-planned by BJP activists, alleged Bhowmik.
The fight took an ugly face as it critically injured people including the police personnel. Total 12 congress activists injured in this fight and admitted to the hospital, informed leader Subal Bhowmik.
He also said that strong action will be taken against these barbaric attack by ruling party goons.
