TELIAMURA, Aug 19 (TIWN): Tripura BJP’s illiterates continue shaming the Party. Ashaming the occasion of Tripura King Bir Bikram Manikya’s birth anniversary on Wednesday, BJP Teliamura Mandal framed a wrong king’s photo in their programme, heavily criticized in social media.

Instead of Bir Bikram Manikya’s photo, BJP framed another King of Tripura Bir Chandra Manikya Bahadur’s photo. Bir Chandra Manikya is the predecessor of Bir Bikram Manikya.

The programme was attended by none other than BJP MLA, cum Advocate Kalyani Roy. She paid tribute to the King in a wrong King’s picture.

Also, she posted it on her social media page but after getting trolled by netizens, she has deleted her post.

Earlier, BJP in same way put garlands on ex-PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee's photo with agarbatti lighting when he was alive. 

BJP and Congress parties and also State Govt have paid tribute to Maharaja Bir Bikram Manikya Bahadur on Wednesday on his 113th birth anniversary.

Whereas BJP claimed that no political party before BJP gave much honour to the King, Congress on the other side has blamed both previous Left Govt and incumbent BJP Party for not keeping the heritage of the state maintained.

Congress State President Pijush Biswas asked the State BJP Govt to make the cleanliness maintained. BJP State President Dr Manik Saha alleged, Ex-CM Manik Sarkar never accepted that the Maharaja had contribution to the state.

Both MPs Rebati Tripura, Pratima Bhowmik paid tribute to the Late King.

CM Biplab Deb and Deputy CM Jishnu Debbarma attended the programme at Budhha Mandir.

Tripura has one Airport, Stadium, College and State University in Maharaja Bir Bikram Manikya’s name.

Bir Bikram Kishore Debbarman Manikya Bahadur GBE KCSI was a king of Tripura State. He was succeeded by his son, Maharaja Kirit Bikram Kishore Deb Barman, who was the nominal king for two years till the state's merger into India in 1949.
