AGARTALA / KANCHANPUR, Aug 18 (TIWN): In a shocking update, it has been exposed by Tripura Royal scion Pradyot Manikya that the neighboring state Mizoram Govt has conducted Election illegally in Tripura’s Jampui’s Phuldungsai area keeping the local administration in sleep and Tripura Govt also has maintained silence. Protests likely be staged if the matter is not solved immediately but in a surprise when elections held in Tripura village by Mizoram govt, Tripura Govt is quite. Royal scion Pradyot Manikya has talked to Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb and also to the SDM, Kanchanpur about this unexpected incident. A letter from SDM Chandni Chandni Chandran to DM North Tripura subjected “Careful scrutiny of Part-37 of Hacchek ST Constituency of Mizoram" was written.

The points in the letter came out : 1) Phuldungsai VC has added as a part of constituency as Zampui Phuldengsai, 2) 130 voters of Phildungsai are residents of Tripura”.

“Currently, the PWD road Kawnpui border village of Zampui hill RD Block is regarded as the boundary between Tripura and Mizoram. In Phuldungsai, the Western part belongs to Tripura and the Eastern side to Mizoram. Traditionally, Phuldungsai VC as a as a whole (despite Eastern side) belongs to Tripura. Hence the inclusion of VC as a electoral of Mizoram will be problematic”, the letter said, saying there is an urgent need of demarcation of the land to trace the boundaries.

Pradyot Manikya in a social media update said, “I have spoken to hon CM BjpBiplab and the SDM of Kanchanpur that reports of our territories being taken away by a neighbouring state has to be dealt with firmly. This report from authorities does confirm that an illegal election were held by the government of Mizoram on our land and state We demand immediate response from the govt of Tripura in this matter. The Tripura boundaries are non negotiable and to those who were shouting against us I want to ask you one question , why are you silent when our state boundaries is redrawn ? Also where are the indigenous political leaders and their position on this issue or are they only there to shout before elections ? Speak up for this is our state .....speak out as one”.
