AGARTALA, Aug 8 (TIWN): Due to frequent lockdowns, lives and livelihood in the ADC areas, hilly zones and deep rural areas are massively suffering. The voiceless people’s fates are not bothering the mainstream media, neither the Govt much, resulting these neglected families are at edge of starvation. Talking to Teliamura Mungiakami Block’s Atharomura Hill’s 41-Mile area’s Rai Hamsa Reang Para villagers, they have alleged about extreme poverty, insufficient earning, lack of MGNREGA works. The Jhumia families there are trying to sell their Jhum productions in the markets but frequent lockdowns are hitting the people there.
It has put them in trouble to arrange two times meals for their family. Few have alleged that although they are going to sale their crops and sitting whole day beside the National Highways but due to lack of customers they are unable to make a minimum profit.
The families begged the State Govt to look after their problems and to solve the crisis situation amid the pandemic.
