AGARTALA, Aug 7 (TIWN): Tripura Congress President Pijush Biswas on Friday after Supreme Court’s verdict on 10323 teachers has said that the teachers lost jobs in Supreme Court because BJP Govt did not want to reappoint them as teachers.

“As per former teachers request, we appealed Congress President Sonia Gandhi to help them. Then eminent lawyer Kapil Sibal had fought for the teachers, but after talking to Kapil Sibal, it has been known that the BJP Govt had no intention to save the 10323 teachers jobs. “Under Left Govt, due to politics they lost their jobs and the BJP again had played with them. In the same style of the Left Govt, BJP also sought extension for the teachers. From the very beginning, the BJP was doing mistake. Interestingly, BJP Govt never told Supreme Court to reappoint the teachers in teaching posts but BJP Govt demanded to appoint them in Group-D, Group-C posts. But Govt must had say from the beginning that they would be appointed in teaching posts, but there was lack of good wills”, said Pijush Biswas.
