AGARTALA, Aug 6 (TIWN): Tripura BJP Govt led by Chief Minister cum Health Minister Biplab Deb was forced to backoff his ‘revenge politics’ as Doctors Massive protest, TIWN Editor’s condemnation, ultimately public wrath turned heavy upon the Tripura Govt. However, even after withdrawal of suspension order, chargesheet was filed against Dr. Uttam Bhattacharjee and at the same time, another Doctor received chargesheet for a 6 month’s old Facebook post. Today the Doctors had visited Secretariat and talked to the higher authority. While talking to media, Doctors said that the way, Doctors are being attacked, it is truly “unfortunate”. Panic among Tripura Doctors centering Suspensions, Charesheet and Insults have hit the Medical Dept and Doctors today have requested Tripura Govt to stop administrative attacks.

Shocking, but Tripura BJP Govt yet to stop “revenge politics” under Biplab Deb leading chaos and tensions among various Depts of the Govt administration. In such an incident, Dr. Uttam Bhattacharjee who was suspended with “No Reason”, now chargesheet has been filed against him after withdrawing the suspension order.

Moreover, before 6 months Dr Kaushik Chakraborty who was suspended over his Govt criticizing facebook comment and after protest the suspension order was withdrawn is again in trouble as now Dept is proceeding legal against him.

All these are just citing Biplab Deb Govt’s inexperienced leadership and question raises, when Biplab Deb is now ‘working from home’, whether these are the works he is doing from home by taking decision how to play against whom by misusing the ‘power’ ?

The Doctors have also sought an apology from Gomati Dist DM Tarun Kanti Debnath for his insulting remarks on a lady Doctor Nishtha Das.

On Wednesday TIWN Editor Saumen Sarkar once again has said the same to Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb observing unexpected suspension of Dr. Uttam Bhattacharjee who was on duty in Bhagat Singh COVID-19 Care Centre on August 2nd, during MLA Sudip Barman’s visit there.

As a duty bound officer, Dr Bhattacharjee just paid his respect to the public representative, MLA Sudip Barman (also the Ex-Health Minister) and helped him to get PPEs so that he can talk to the patients about their problems.

But in a surprising move, State Govt has suspended the Doctor without any reason, neither showed any reason for his suspension. Today in protest, Doctors also demanded withdrawal of the suspension order.

Dr Uttam Bhattacharjee was suspended over a political grudge of CM Biplab Deb against MLA Sudip Barman as Sudip Barman visited COVID-19 Care centre on 2nd August and talked to patients there. The patients alleged him about the Govt's negligence in medicare and cleanliness, food. During his visit, Sudip Barman sought PPEs from Dr. Uttam Bhattacharjee and in revenge, now Biplab Deb Govt has suspended the Doctor, whereas as a duty bound officer, Dr Uttam Bhattacharjee had no other option except paying respect to the MLA.

In a social media update, TIWN Editor Saumen Sarkar said, “I condemn AGMC’s Dr. Uttam Bhattacharjee’s suspension, it must be revoked ASAP. Once again, I request Biplab Deb to shun revenge Politics and live in Civility”.

Amid COVID-19 pandemic, when Doctors are serving day-night risking their lives, in Tripura Doctors are again and again humiliated, attacked by public, by administration and all sides. In such a move, a Doctor named Uttam Bhattacharjee was suspended and in the suspension letter, there was no mention about the cause of the suspension. Doctors finally came in massive protest, saying, if such things do not stop immediately, then Doctors will not work.
