AGARTALA, July 30 (TIWN): Reacting over the ongoing protests in various areas and stir against Health workers after they are going for COVID-19 surveys there, Tripura Education Minister Ratanlal Nath has requested the leaders and so called a 'section of people' for not to spread rumours as no official will test the local people but they will just do surveys of the area and query, whether they have any symptoms or not. If symptom is found then, it will be noted and later based on needs, tests will be done.
Minister Ratanlal Nath also has requested the political parties not to politicize this matter as Health Dept is working afterall for the well-being of public, not to harm them.
This statement came after statewide, specially in village areas, people are not allowing health staffs for COVID-19 surveys. The locals in many areas have gathered saying, there is no Corona-Virus in their area, blocking road and forcing the health officials to leave the area.
