AGARTALA, July 19 (TIWN): In a big lump, Tripura in last 24 hours has recorded 171 COVID-19 positive cases which is the highest ever spike in the state in a single day. The situation is deteriorating as 2 persons died on yesterday raising the toll to 5. Thus, the numbers of dead-bodies coming out of AGMC treatment centre are increasing day by day, which is truly a matter of much concerns. The deceased persons are : Bakul Debnath (72), W/O-Sachindra Debnath from Bir Chandra Manu, South Tripura and another is Mangalia Debbarma (63), S/O-Golakanda Debbarma, resident of Santir Bazar, South Tripura.Till now, 5 persons have died and 1 more had committed suicide in the Flu Centre of GB hospital.
Tension triggered as, Tripura has now raised up its COVID-19 death tolls at 5 with two more persons had died on Saturday. Chief Minister Biplab Deb had announced this just 5 minutes before it was midnight 12 O'Clock. When death tolls are raising high, Tripura's COVID-19 cases are also increasing massively with community transmission glimpses and evidences.
On yesterday total 171 persons were tested COVID-19 Positive, increasing the numbers of patients at 2,654. “People found COVID-19 POSITIVE out of 4184 samples tested. Among them 146 found POSITIVE in Antigen Test (82 BSF personnel included). Unfortunately 2 COVID-19 patients died today. Among them one was patient of throat cancer & another person was patient of Hypertension”, CM announced in a tweet. Tripura COVID-19 active cases are 914, cured 1735 and death 5. Thus total cases are – 2,654.
