AGARTALA, July 18 (TIWN): The pre-election promised “Double Engine” Government is yet non-functional as amid the alleged MLA ‘Horse Trading’ in Rajasthan by ruling BJP, the BJP Govt at Centre couldn’t provide Tripura like states sufficient funds and thus, State is now dependent upon its huge taxation on the public imposed in last 2 and half years. Tripura Law Minister Ratanlal Nath on Friday has alleged extreme financial crisis existing in his state amid BJP Govt is ruling over here for last 2 and half years along with a same Govt at the Centre. Minister Nath was talking about 3% increment facilitation to the State Employees as per annual norms and said that many states are cutting salaries of employees but Tripura Govt has not cut it, rather decided to increment the employees. “We are capable to do it, amid Extreme Financial Crisis situations”, said Ratanlal Nath to media.

In a cabinet meeting this decision was taken on Friday. Addressing media, Law Minister Ratanlal Nath said, "When many states are cutting salaries of employees, Biplab Deb Govt has decided to increase it. In Kerala, the CPI-M Govt has cut salaries amid High Court's stay order by passing an ordinance. But here we have decided to pay more".In another decision, Govt has come to the economic solution of COVID-19 pandemic that 30% salaries of the MLAs to be cut.

"If a person of Group-A gets Rs. 90,000 basic, then s/he will get Rs.2,700 more. Group-B, whose Group-B, whose basic is Rs.83,200, s/he will get Rs.2,500 more. Group-C, whose basic is 30,500 will et Rs. 900 more. Group D, whose basic is Rs. 22,100, will get Rs. 700 more", said Ratanlal Nath.

However, State Govt employees are not happy as 3% increment is not a new thing but a rule whereas Tripura BJP Govt stopped giving DA since it’s in power.
