AGARTALA, June 24 (TIWN): In a daring manner a shop has been robbed in post office Chowmuhni, infront of West PS.With the increasing numbers of theft incidents everyday across the capital fearlessness of thieves are also increasing which creates question in the role of Tripura Police Department.

Reportedly, on Wednesday morning when the shop owner came to open his shop in post office Chowmuhni, he found the door of the shop is broken. Then immediately he called police and found his shop been looted last night. The shop owner said that the market price of looted items will be more than 1 lakh.

This daring theft incident right infront of police station left everyone in shock. People are raising questions on the role of police department.

A person while talking with media regarding this said, "This is not something new, such incidents are happening for last 4-5 years. We have reported complains, we have given interview like today but no proper action has been taken to stop such robberies permanently. Is the thieves can loot our shops right infront of police's eye than what's the need of Police stations and security departments?"

Police informed that investigation is going on, CCTV footage has recorded the whole incident and police is working on it.
