AGARTALA, June 24 (TIWN): Amid opposition led massive protests, there is no response from the ruling Govt over petrol, diesel prices hikes. Reports have shown than gap between Domestic and International fuel prices have been recorded highest. Tripura’s Petrol Price Rs. 79.79 and Diesel Price Rs. 74.17 on Wednesday. On Tuesday, the Left parties held several protests whereas the opposition Congress also raised voice over fuel price hikes. On the other side, in an unexpected development, the pump price of diesel is all set to surpass the petrol price in the capital, making it the most expensive transport fuel for the first time in a long time.

Reacting over the increasing fuel prices everyday across India, CPI-M former Transport Minister Manik Dey has slammed the Modi Govt for imposing taxes on the common men. He said, when across world, fuel prices are decreasing in India it is increasing and in excuse, Modi Govt said that it is trying to recover the COVID-19 losses. “It never happened earlier that everyday fuel prices are increasing. It is only happening under Modi Govt. This is type of display of don’t care attitude against public. When fuel prices are hardly Rs. 25 the prices at Rs. 80”, said Dey.
