AGARTALA, June 24 (TIWN): Although on Tuesday, 10323 teachers said, they have restored their faith on Education Minister Ratanlal Nath after he assured about an alternative job arrangement for sacked 10323 teachers, but the former teachers pointed how the same Minister earlier promised to save 10323 teachers lives before 31st March, 2020 by giving them an alternative job arrangement, but failed to keep his promise. Ratanlal Nath in a blood donation camp on Monday at Maharani Tusibati school said that if anything happens to the former teachers during such activities (Protest), then Govt will not be responsible.

His speech went viral also in social media where he was literally threatening the teachers to be restrained from any protest.

Addressing media, teachers said, “Only Govt has to take responsibility of everyone. Govt means guardian and in democracy everyone has right to agree or disagree with the Govt but the use of language from such a person is totally unexpected”.

10323 teachers had lost their jobs under Supreme Court of India's order, but when the previous CPI-M Govt was giving them alternative jobs, BJP in 2017 as opposition promised them to save their lives saying, Central Govt is with the State Govt if BJP voted to power. Also, Union Finance Minister of that time Lt. Arun Jaitley assured the same. But on 31st March, 2020, the teachers lost their jobs and BJP till date could not do anything for the terminated teachers.
