AGARTALA, July 23 (TIWN): As temples remained restricted, children’s chariots for Lord Jagannath gained highest attention this year. Eldered joined the children on road and pulled the “Ratha” as ritual.

The festival marks the annual journey of the three deities - Lord Jagannath, his brother Bhalabhadra and sister Subhadra. Amid tight security arrangements, Lord Jagannath’s Rath Yatra began at Agartala Jagannath Bari temple, this morning.

The festival will end after nine days when the deities make their way back to the Jagannath temple.

This biggest festival is held in Puri but this year across India it is restricted by social distancing.
