AGARTALA, June 22 (TIWN): Electronic Traffic Signal at Teliamura subdivision is not working from the time of lockdown 1.0 . Leading people's life in a danger, the department is yet to repair the light after more than three months.
Traffic DSP SonaCharan Jamatiya said that the person who is taking charge of repairing the signals is not present in the state now. He will be back from Kolkata by 26th of this month and after that the work of repairing will start. He also admitted that people are suffering for this crippling condition of traffic signals. Public transportation on that particular road has become dangerous.
Talking with a tomtom driver he said, "For the sake of survival we have to continue our profession but driving on such road where no traffic signals is provided spikes the risk of accident. I are facing problems for this, you need to be scared everytime while driving on this road."
