AGARTALA, June 21 (TIWN): COVID-19 infected Tripura’s only Doctor Anamika Goswami has been recovered fully and was today discharged from Bhagat Singh COVID-19 care centre. On being asked by media, Dr Anamika Goswami said in her advise to positive persons, “To be brave against the Disease is the main weapon I would say”. She also thanked the Health Dept and its employees who all the time were helping her in her tough times. She was welcomed with flowers and garlands in her locality. Tripura Health Dept on June 7 had confirmed Tripura's first COVID-19 positive Doctor. Dr Goswami was in duty at Akhaura Checkpost for screening of arriving people from neighboring country Bangladesh. The Doctor had reportedly taken the matter very easily and also her health is stable, asymptomatic.

A Medical Staff has confirmed that along with her, few more BSF personnel were also tested positive at the Akhaura checkpost and they have been sent to Hapania Fair field’s COVID-Care centre under TMC.

But, Dr Anamika Goswami Doctor has been taken to Bhagat Singh Youth hostel COVID-19 care centre.

Tripura reported 1189 COVID-19 cases, patients recovered 680 and 1 person has died so far.
