AGARTALA, June 14 (TIWN): New born baby died in IGM Hospital's negligence after 2 hours of its birth, such has been alleged by patient party on Sunday, which had created panic in the hospital. Bringing this serious allegation, the family said that the baby was delivered without any Doctor’s presence in proper time, as the Doctors left the mother in negligence, although she was brought at 2 am, early morning and she was screaming in pains. The confusion erupted as before delivery time which was scheduled after 1 month, the baby born and thus it was premature when was delivered. After birth's 2 hours, it died. However, Doctors already told the patient party that the baby would be premature and clearly said that it will not survive more than 72 hours.

Misbehaviour of nurses were also alleged by the patient party. The died baby’s father is named Subash Chakraborty, resident of Suryamani Nagar has sought action against the hospital authority. 

Today in early morning 2 am, Subash Chakraborty’s wife was admitted in hospital and the Doctors were reportedly requested to complete the delivery fast and if needed to do delivery by operation, but there was allegedly huge negligence by the hospital authority, Doctors. Before Doctors came in time, the baby was delivered, according to the allegation of the family.

The baby  born at 9 am whereas after 2 hours it died.

From IGM hospital, no statement has been given yet. This is the biggest hospital of Tripura dedicated for deliveries, famous for women patients, children’s  treatments.
