AGARTALA, June 13 (TIWN): Before Tripura Assembly Election 2018, teachers among 10323 never ever could imagine that BJP which promised to secure their livelihood, after winning election will make their arrests by police. Breaking all records of Tripura’s Educational History, a former teacher was arrested by Police, just because he was leading a protest but with social distancing. Whereas police complained about no permission for protest, it is now widely known that police in maximum cases do not allow any gathering which may question the Govt. For that parties also knocked High Court against Police's biased attitudes. The 10323 teachers were protesting with full social distances on Friday at Circuit House but police at first detained the teachers and kept them till late evening. Later, the organization’s leader Kamal Dey was called in the NCC PS and arrested. He was kept seated whole night in the office room.
Today, Kamal Dey was produced before the Court, whereas BJP Govt lawyer sought jail custody for the leader.

On behalf of Kamal Dey, Advocate Harekrishna Bhowmik appealed to the court to grant his bail as Kamal Dey was not staging protest at Circuit House with any ill motive but was struggling for livelihood.
The Advocate said that Police sought a bond sign from him that he would not protest further for anything but after declining, he was immediately arrested.
