Allegedly, on Tuesday Sonamura area's resident Suman Das's wife gave birth to a girl child in Gomati district hospital. After delivery doctor told that child and mother both are perfectly well. But on Friday morning due to the negligence of special nurse the child died, alleged the father.

 

While talking to media Suman Das said, "Due to the Corona virus no family members were allowed to enter the room where my wife and child were kept. Hospital authority arranged a special nurse for taking care of them. But most of the time my wife couldn't find her in the room. Even when she used to call also, the nurse would take a long time to response. On Friday morning, she placed my child for breast feeding and left. When my wife was shouting seeing the child in serious condition, no one came and my child died." 

 

A relative of the family alleged that the special nurse used to sleep all the time, even after seeing the child crying she did not even look at her.

 

A pall of gloom descended over the family members with the unexpected death of the newborn.

 

The family of the infant demanded strong action against that nurse and hospital authority.
