AGARTALA, June 12 (TIWN): Dozens of families have taken their shelters with children in Pratapgrah school in Agartala, but from the administration no help was offered to them. Every year, due to monsoon these areas go under water. Whereas in day time it was seen that the families are bound to cook sitting on wooden beds, by evening, they had to take shelter in other places. The suffered families have sought State Govt’s compensation and helps. However, there are chances of more rain from June 13 which may worsen the situation further. Tension erupted in river Banks of Howrah as the water level is going higher and the chances of raining are predicted further, which may cause more agonies. If the level continues to rise, then it may swallow many houses.
Already houses on Howrah river bank have been affected due to water entered in their houses and households are facing tough times to lead normal lives.
