AGARTALA, July 11 (TIWN): Tripura BJP MLA Sudip Barman, who was sacked from Cabinet alleging anti-party activity has proven his leadership once again after he was successfully capable to convince the Battala locals to cremate the dead body of COVID-19 Patient at their crematorium ground. Administration had failed to resolve the matter whereas MLA Sudip Barman along with local MLA Asish Saha solved the matter by a single counselling of the locals. MLA Sudip Barman, MLA Asish Saha visited the spot with the administration there and talked to the locals for hours. They did counselling of the locals for a long time to make them understand that cremation will not spread Corona Virus.
This counselling was necessitated after on yesterday the locals blocked road, protested for not allowing COVID-19 patient’s dead body cremation. But today after much attempts, in the presence of police personnel and security the dead body was finally given last funeral under Hindu rituals with God’s name chanting.
On being asked by media, MLA Sudip Barman said that the locals had a misconception that from the dead body’s smoke Coronavirus may spread but he did his best to break the conception.
