AGARTALA, June 6 (TIWN): Tripura Education Minister Ratanlal Nath under storms of controversy after he concluded unemployment trend at only 1.9 lakhs just by providing 6000 jobs (over 3000 are via outsourcing, contractual), making a high fall of unemployed youths numbers from 7.5 lakhs which BJP itself claimed before 2018 election. After the Minister's statement, netizens have hit the Minister over his baseless claims, as state Tripura is reeling under acute job-crisis. According to the Minister around 5.5 lakhs jobs were given whereas his own given data says only 6000 jobs were given in last 2 years. However, he added in defence about "Job Fairs" and "Self-Dependency" of youths, making a way to job creators. But state's practical reports say that thousands of contractual employees who were in jobs from the previous Left Govt’s time were terminated.
Recently, over 8000 teachers belong to 10323 teachers lost jobs. But with all these data, the Minister claimed that unemployed youths remained only at 1.90 lakhs.
BJP before election had promised to give 50,000 Govt jobs in first one year (on permanent posts) but, the Minister could not say anything about that promise.
