AGARTALA, May 31 (TIWN): When Prime Minister Modi is showered by praises by State's Godi media since he pronounced Tripura’s poor rickshaw driver Gautam Das’s name in his Sunday's Mann-Ki-Baat, who amid his extreme poverty is serving the needy people, but the Modi's Govt has totally failed to announce any special package for the rickshaw drivers of this poverty gripped Northeast state Tripura amid oppositions' continuous pressures on the Govt. Although, Rs. 1000 has been promised by State Govt here, but it is again from CM’s relief fund, means people’s donated fund. Question which generates - Where is Govt contribution ? Moreover, Rs. 1000 is very low to the demand of the people, whereas the opposition demanded Rs. 7000 to Rs. 10000 at least per month for the working class. Rickshaw drivers in the capital city Agartala were already in crisis and the lockdown has further devastated them, but from Centre except publicity, in reality nothing was given as direct benefit.
