With the onset of rainy season, the Belonia-Shantir Bazar road has transformed to it's pathetic condition as deep pits and pote holes are yet to be taken care of. 

The locals have informed the authorities and local party leaders many times but no action has been taken so far. 

 

"The road is in a very deplorable state and the condition becomes pathetic during the rainy season. It gets filled with water and it becomes very difficult to move on the waterlogged streets." Said an auto driver.

 

To add to the woes, continuous rain makes it so slippery  that it tests the nerves of the drivers to the limit. Sometimes vehicles get bogged down in the pot holes. There are high chances of accident while moving on such condition. 

 

Regretting the poor condition of the roads, which was posing danger to life and property, has become daily issue these days in Tripura. The condition of the other link and main roads in the town is somehow, not different. Yet the concerned authorities remain silent in most of the cases.

 

Local people are demanding for immediate remedial measures as this is the linking road of Belonia-Shantir Bazar.
