AGARTALA, May 24 (TIWN): After BJP MLA cum former Health Minister Sudip Barman raised serious allegations on multicrore COVID19 supplies scam, now State Congress President raised question on COVID19 proper identifications, asked State Govt to release full report in public whether BSF Jawans were actually infected by COVID19 or it was a Malaria ? Tripura Health Ministry's silence on both of these serious issues raising further doubts on actual COVID19 figures. Based on media, social media reports, Tripura Congress President Pijush Biswas has asked the State Govt to disclose the report in public whether the BSF Jawans were truly infected by COVID-19 or Malaria disease ? Addressing media at the Congress headquarter in Agartala Post Office Chowmuhani on Saturday, Congress President Pijush Biswas said, “From the very beginning, we sought a probe in BSF COVID-19 infection cases. We also thanked the Chief Minister after he ordered for an investigation into the matter, but now as the report came in hand, it should be made publicâ€.

Congress President Pijush Biswas’s statement“In various places, specially in social media, it has been spread that the BSF Jawans are not actually infected by COVID-19 but they are infected by Malaria. This is dangerous ! If it is true, then strict action would be taken by the authority. The received report’s details we want to know”, said Pijush Biswas.“We have to know if Malaria infected persons are called as COVID-19 patients, then hardest action against the persons behind the scandal should be taken and if this news is fake, then fake news spreaders should be brought under action”, said Pijush Biswas.
On Sunday at GB hospital, the main COVID-19 centre located at there is now COVID-Free, said a Doctor to media. Total two COVID patients were released from the GB hospital keeping GB hospital without any COIVID-patient existing anymore. However, in the secondary treatment care centre that is the Bhagat Singh treatment centre, right now total 24 patients are under treatment.
Among the 24 active cases, 16 were reported yesterday who returned form Maharasthra. Today Bhagat Singh treatment care released 10 patients and then the remaining number remained as 24. However, the total active cases in Tripura are now 24, whereas cases numbers raised to 189 till day.
Doctors said that each patient’s conditions are stable, beyond dangers. Tripura’s COVID-19 recovery rate has been reported as 87%. Talking to media, a Doctor has said that all the remaining 24 patients are stable and there is "Nothing to Worry". All the released patients will be now in quarantine as per Govt norms.
