Agartala, Nov 18 (TIWN) : In the scam tainted leftist regime, an alround scenario of embezzlement and negligence being unearthed one after another. Almost every department has come under the umbrella of embezzlement and negligence.
And CAG report for 2012-13 fiscal brought out in January 2014 has clearly shown that even the Home (Police) department is not free of such loopholes and embezzlement. We shall bring out all these loopholes and embezzlement one after another, as pointed out in the CAG report.
CAG, in their report summarily questioned the infrastructural facilities and ability of the Police and efforts of the state Govt. to make the police well equipped with the changing time.
In ‘chapter-V: General Sector’ at page no. 125, CAG has observed “ The Department neither prepared any five-year Strategic Plan nor Annual Plans for prioritising the goals of the Department with reference to the objectives of policing.” Adding more to it and more seriously CAG demanded that the striking ability of police force “compromised due to shortage of 26 to 74 per cent main strike weapons and 55 percent vehicles.” Now the question basically arouses is that how police would be completely successful to cop with ongoing crimes with such lacks and how the populace of the state could be secured in such a scenario. This leads to unsatisfactory use of forensic science and weak internal controls. This lack and loopholes should not be unknown to the the ‘dynamic’ and ‘clean’ Mr. Sarkar. But still has any decision or plans being adopted to rectify the situation is the question and the populace should be made aware of it.
