AGARTALA, May 9 (TIWN): As Chief Minister Biplab Deb has announced to convert Agartala's Bhagat Singh Youth hostel into a 300-bed COVID19 treatment center, it has converted successfully and today huge numbers of COVID19 patients were brought to the Centre. From Ambassa to the hostel in Agartala, patients were brought to quarantine. The COVID19 positive persons from BSF 138 and 86th Bn and their positive family members were also brought there. However, with this new centre, GB and IGM hospitals arrangements also to remain functional.The Bhagat Singh hostel to be under GB hospital’s supervision. Workers have started sanitization drive in the hostel premise just like GB hospital’s quarantine centre. While launching the hostel as COVID Centre CM has announced, “We have decided to convert Agartala's Bhagat Singh Youth hostel into a 300-bed COVID19 treatment center & it will be under GB hospital's supervision".

"Now in Agartala total beds for COVID19 treatment stand at 410 (GB hospital: 80 beds, IGM: 30 beds, Bhagat Singh: 300 beds)”, CM added

Tripura’s total COVID19 cases till now is 88 whereas active cases are 86.

Total active cases in Tripura now 116. The last update was 30 people new added in COVID19 Positive list with members from 138th-Bn BSF & 1 truck driver.

“Total #COVID19 patients in Tripura now stand: 118, Active cases: 116, Discharged: 02 We are conducting maximum number of COVID-19 tests to ensure better safety of every citizen of Tripura”, said CM.
