AGARTALA, April 25 (TIWN): Tripura finally becomes Corona-Virus case free with the second and last patient was released from hospital after Re-Testing resulted negative. The 32 years old Tripura State Rifles Jawan (TSR) was tested positive on April 10 and was in isolation ward in GB hospital. Today he was released after retesting. Health Dept employees, Doctors, Dept’s officers have clapped for him to bid a Congratulation for his victory over the deadly virus. The patient was admitted in GB hospital’s isolation ward and today released with fit and strong health status, but 14 days institutional quarantine is must according to the norms. he TSR jawans, in origin a Madhya Pradesh resident, employed in Tripura TSR, traveled via Tripura Sundari train and landed in Dumachara of North Tripura on March 19, tested COVID19 positive on 10th April.
Today, after fully recovering, hospital has released him. Doctors, health staffs clapped for him while he was leaving the hospital. With this, finally Tripura has become COVID-Free state. The 32 years Madhya Pradesh man was in quarantine with many others, since the first patient from Udaipur was tested positive in COVID19 (on 6th April), with a same travel history. Based on that travel history, all the persons in the journey was in quarantine and on 10th April he was found positive but the TSR Jawan was without symptoms. Soon, he became COVID-Infection-Free, which was announced by Chief Minister Biplab Deb on April 23. Today after re-testing the Jawan was released.
