AGARTALA, April 24 (TIWN): Copy checking for completed board examinations have been started in Agartala’s 13 centres on Friday by maintaining social distancing. Addressing media, TBSE chairman Dr. Bhavatosh Saha said, “Out of 13 venues, Higher Secondary copy checking is going on in 3 venues and for Madhyamik 10 venues have been arranged. In Maharani Tulshibati H.S. School, Khudiram English Medium HS School, Budhjhung Boys School the copy checking for HS examinations are going on. For Madyamik, Bani Vidyapith, Bijoy Kumar School, Sishu Bihar, Umakanta Academy, Netaji Subahs Vidyaniketan, Budhjung Girls School etcâ€. The TBSE Chairman further informed media that bus services which were given to teachers turned “over crowded†and what can be done, it will be seen shortly. He assured about social distancing, sanitizing, masks using by teachers to be mandatory. “Due to COVID19, social distancing has become main target and that’s why centres numbers have also increased. Naturally, social distances to be maintainedâ€, Saha told media.
“Class rooms and venues for copy checking are going on everyday without gap”, the TBSE chairman added.

On the background of the copy checking process, Education Minister Ratanlal Nath said, “Under TBSE, Madhyamik exam’s new course is fully done whereas old syllabus, Madrasa exams are not totally completed. In case of Higher Secondary (Class-12), half of the exams have been finished but half remained. These exams to be completed after lockdown ends”.
