AGARTALA, March 9 (TIWN): Young Advocate Bhaskar Debroy’s mysterious death incident which has shaken the state, CPI-M’s youth wing DYFI has met SP Sadar in this regard and sought justice.
Addressing media, DYFI Secretary Nabarun Deb said, “Just few days back our young Advocate Bhaskar Debroy died unnaturally. We have demanded for proper investigation and full justice to Advocate Bhaskar Debroy and his family. His death has generated lots of questions among the people which is natural as his death was very mysterious”.
“We can observe law and order is deteriorating day by day. From bank employee’s murder to custodial death incident all happened in the presence of so many police stations, securities, outposts etc across the capital city”, Deb said.
“At the end IAS Officer Sailesh Kumar Yavad himself is undergoing insecurity. MLAs now are seen threatening SDPO saying, law stays in their pockets. In this condition, the Home Dept is all busy about the opposition but no attempt to improve the law and order”, he added.
The young lawyer’s mysterious death has rocked Agartala city on Saturday afternoon. Family members have alleged it is a murder case as his body was not found with any such spot which can cause his death. The lawyer has been identified as Bhaskar Debroy, who did not return home on yesterday after he went to attend a function. He was reportedly brought by Fire Brigade in GB Hospital at around 12 O'Clock and then from Trauma Centre taken to medicine ward but no treatment was done, neither family members were informed.
The deceased's mother said, at night around 12 o’clock her son was admitted in hospital but surprisingly nobody was informed to come to the hospital, neither from police any call was given. Only today morning she came to know from her brother about her son's death. Bhaskar Debroy’s mobile phone was with him where his all contacts were saved. The patient parties who were in that room, they have also alleged that Bhaskar was screaming but no Doctor touched him.
