AGARTALA, Feb 29 (TIWN): Along with whole nation, protest in Tripura also continues against unconstitutional NPR, NRC, CAA. On Sunday, Nagarik Mancha staged a massive rally in Agartala with all communities people, eminent persons of the city.Addressing media on behalf of Nagarik Mancha, High Court Senior Advocate Purushottom Roy Barman said, “Due to these unconstitutional moves of the Modi Govt, across India protests are going on. We have organized the protest along with the whole Nation to voice against NRC, NPR, CAA. We urge the people to boycott the NPR immediately. In coming days also protests will be escalated. BJP, RSS’s aim to convert this country into a Hindu Rastra are reflected with these new moves which are violation of the constitutional base and attack on the secularism. In India no law can be made based on religion. They have planned to make Indians refugee.....â€, said Purushottom Roy Barman to media here.“These laws are unconstitutional, uncivilized. No civilized country can have such controversial laws which are dividing the peopleâ€, said Purushottom Roy Barman.

“These moves are causing nationwide tension. Public safety is under heavy risks but people have not stopped protesting. Thus along with the nation, it is important to hold protest against NPR, NRC, CAA in Tripura too. In next Assembly session, Govt has to do something to stop NRC, NPR, CAA like states as Bihar. We also urge the opposition to take proper steps in Assembly to stop NRC, NPR, CAA”, he said.
