AGARTALA, Feb 25 (TIWN): A strange and brutal politics is being played in Tripura by BJP-IPFT Govt which left 93 families are foodless, homeless since months but the Home Ministry has simply failed to look into the matter, suspected of not helping the local Bengalis, keeping the indigenous vote banks in mind for the upcoming ADC Election.
Reportedly, since December 10, 2019, when some 150 miscreants ransacked and looted the shops and houses of 93 Bengali families, the families are left homeless and have taken shelter in Ananda Bazar Police station.
They are living in the second floor of the Anandabazar police station. From 19th February Govt stopped ration supplies to the homeless people in pressure to go back to home without any compensation when their houses were burnt.
The locals allegedly earlier also became refugees following a series of violent incidents from 2000 to 2003. The victims raised question whereas they are humans or not, whether they deserve to live like humans or not.
On the other side, after Brus were given a package by Central Govt, on being asked by media about the Bengalis crisis there, CM Biplab Deb replied, “Who asked them to stay in Police station ?”
