AGARTALA, Jan 13 (TIWN): Amid demands of Judicial investigation, BJP led State Govt strict to the Magisterial investigation in Sushanta Ghosh murder case, whereas it is highly abnormal that a person can hang himself inside the lockup of a police station. Not a single police official was suspended yet. Family members said that spots were found on the head and body of the victim and the footage have been kept and shared with trusted people already. However, when CPI-M leaders led by Pabitra Kar visited the victim’s home, BJP MLA Dilip Das also rushed to the home and said, the family never told him anything but if he knew the matter immediately it could be helpful. Pabitra Kar said that Magisterial investigation is unfair and whenever any critical case comes, Govt calls for Magisterial investigation.

On the other side, Dilip Das said, no Govt till day has ordered such a fast investigation what CM Biplab Deb has done. Public, except BJP all have demanded Judicial investigation.

Addressing media, Pabitra Kar said that the West Police Station has turned a den for brutality.

BJP is trying at best to stop family to go to High Court. The reasons of suspects are :

1)    The arrest itself was without base,

2)    Brutal murder inside police station.

The 38-year-old man, arrested in ATM hacking cases, allegedly committed suicide at a police station in West Tripura district on Sunday. But now allegations raising, he was never involved in any ATM hacking.

Tripura Human Rights' Organisation (THRO) demanded a judicial inquiry into the incident."We have the apprehension that it might be a case a custodial torture and death. Police might be trying to frame it as a case of hanging but we don't trust them, so we demand a judicial inquiry into the incident," THRO president, Senior Advocate Purushottam Roy Barman told reporters.Sushanta Ghosh, who was in police remand since Saturday, committed suicide inside the lavatory of the West Agartala Police Station, officer-in-charge Subrata Chakraborty said. He was arrested from his residence at Lankamura on Saturday by officers of the cyber-crime team and produced before a local court, which remanded him to two days' police custody, the officer said.

"His body was found hanging inside the lavatory of the police station around 5 am. He went to the lavatory around 3.54 am, but did not come out. It came to the notice of a guard that he was missing and later found him hanging from the ceiling of the lavatory," Chakraborty told reporters.

Sushanta Ghosh was allegedly involved in an international racket that hacked 60 bank accounts in Tripura recently.

His name surfaced, following interrogation of four Turkish cyber-criminals who were arrested in November last year for their role in ATM hacking cases in Agartala, the officer said.
