AGARTALA, Jan 12 (TIWN): West Agartala Police Station Officials claimed custodial death of Sushanta Ghosh by hanging, who was arrested in ATM hacking allegation whose hanging dead body was found in the lock-up room. Youth Congress has demanded justice to the victim as his death was highly abnormal.

The Youth Congress activists met OC-Subrata Chakraborty demanding strict action against the police officials who were present on yesterday night.

This is the second such incident under the regime of BJP Govt in Tripura. Family members of the deceased accused “Criminal Conspiracy”, demanding Justice for Sushanta Ghosh. No CCTV footage has been revealed by the Police also no positive steps taken still regarding investigation. However, the Tripura CM ordered magisterial investigation in the matter.

Reportedly, Sushanta Ghosh (38) s/o Parimal Ghosh of Lankamura was detained in ATM hacking case by Tripura police Crime Branch and was under police remand in West Agartala police station. However, last night allegedly at around 12 he committed suicide by hanging, said police.  Police has further informed the family members of the deceased today morning. According to the source Sushanta owned a sweet shop and was the only earner of the family. He is survived by his wife and son.

Locals said, Sushanta Ghosh can never do such activity.

Locals and his family members claimed that he is completely innocent and knows nothing about ATM hacking.  The family members demanded proper investigation into the case.

Tripura Police’s brutality and inhuman behaviour are nothing new the people of the state are witnessing since BJP came into power. They turned merely puppets of the CM and the top leaders of BJP Govt and not the Govt officials who should effortlessly serve the people of the state according to their duty.
