AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, Jan 6 (TIWN): When BJP is holding door-to-door campaigning for Citizenship Amendment Act, even in a false case arrested one Congress activist after he posted against CAA supporting phone number, the IPFT Party, which is now alliance with BJP has started movement in demand of Tipraland and voicing against CAA. IPFT Minister Mebar Jamatia claimed that already ADC has more power and more meetings and developments with Central Home Ministry ahead. He said, IPFT is slowly, slowly moving towards developing ADC into Tipraland. Addressing media, Minister NC Debbarma said that implementing Citizenship Amendment Act (ACC) will not only affect the indigenous people but also the Bengalis will be affected at the same time. IPFT Ministers said that Tripura is already over populated and new addition of more outsiders will be very harmful for the state and it will affect the socio-economy sides of the state.

IPFT comprising 33 divisional committees is going to organise the demonstration from the first day with alternative rotations of 3 committees each day. IPFT declared to carry out the demonstration in a peaceful and democratic way.

Along with the major demand for separate Tipraland according to Article 2 and 3 of the Indian Constitution is also the subject of their agitation, IPFT said. The party also demands eradication of CAA from Tripura state.

The pre-declared indefinite sit-in Demonstration started from January 6 morning 10 am onwards.  President of IPFT and Minister N C Debbarma has inaugurate the program.

Minister of Tribal Welfare Mebar Kumar Jamatia along with other MLA’s are participating the agitation. Prime demand behind organising the Sit-in demonstration is separate Tipraland for the indigenous people of the state.
