AGARTALA, Jan 5 (TIWN): Amid rains and odd weather, BJP MLA, Ex-Health Minister Sudip Barman’s crowded rally on 3rd January, with full of supporters have rattled Chief Minister cum BJP State President Biplab Deb and MP Pratima Bhowmik to that extend that statewide attacks started massively. At the same time opposition Congress, CPI-M workers are too under severe attacks. After joining Sudip Barman’s rally on Jan 3 in front of Rabindra Bhawan, one Prabir Deb’s home was allegedly thrown with petrol bombs by BJP miscreants, leaving the window glasses broken. In same way various attacks are going on which leading nothing but more resentment against the BJP Govt in the state. On the other side, in fear about Delhi central BJP leaders’ reactions, Biplab Deb led party and Govt have allegedly asked national media journalists not to send any news on Sudip Barman’s rally and thus no national media had published the news nationally.

This rally was one of the greatest events of 21 months state record under BJP when national media could not publish the news because the local correspondents were threatened by the ruling party chiefs. BJP MLA Sudip Roy had hoisted a massive apolitical rally in the capital city Agartala on Friday against alarming rapes in India. Along with Sudip Roy Barman, BJP MLA Asish Saha was too present as the organizers, thanked the massive numbers of supporters who came to join the rally beyond political boundary.

Addressing media, Sudip Barman has condemned his political partners who failed to think beyond party barriers and could not think neutrally.

“We are politicians but what is our main job. Isn’t our main job is to serve the people ? Work for the people ?”, said Barman.

Barman said, all Govts want to decrease crimes against women and numbers of rapes, but my question is why even a single rape will happen ? He further said, no Govt alone can cure the rape-disease, but masses together can do this.

“If people are aware and we play our role then only this problem can be solved”, said Barmans taking last 16 years rape statistics of India saying everyday 67 rapes are happening in India.
