AGARTALA, Dec 3 (TIWN): Tripura media mafia cum top extortionist Syandan Editor Subal Dey's regular 'Blackmailing & Extortion' formula for income resulted brutal death of Syandan Journalist Sudip Datta Bhowmik. Back in 2017, Subal Dey published news on TSR Commandant Tapan Debbarma's extra-marital life in Syandan newspaper, after that Subal Dey started blackmailing Tapan Debbarma for money or to publish more news. Tapan Debbarma already paid Rs 2 lakhs on 4 installments of Rs 50000/- each to Sudip Datta Bhowmik as per Subal Dey's instructions. On that fateful day 21st November, 2017 of Sudip Datta Bhowmik's murder at TSR Battalion Headquarter, Subal Dey sent Journalist Sudip Datta Bhowmik to TSR Commandant Tapan Debbarma to demand Rs 3.5 lakhs as final payment. At TSR battelion HQ, Subal Dey and Tapan Debbarma had heated discussions over payment over an hour on Sudip Datta Bhowmik's cell phone, following which Tapan Debbarma's TSR trooper shot dead Sudip Datta Bhowmik at point blank range. After the murder when deadbody reached GB Hospital morgue, Subal Dey took possession of slain Journalist Sudip Datta Bhowmik's phone and erased call records.

CBI already interrogated Subal Dey on this murder case on Nov 22-23, 2019 at Agartala but CBI's role itself under cloud due to Subal Dey;s close proximity to ruling BJP in power.   

Subal Dey's  organized extortion racket destroyed many Govt officials lives, even honest Police officials like Tapan Debbarma was forced to commit murder under provocation.   

Syandan Patrika Editor, whose Education Qualification is unknown yet is the biggest extortionist of media mafia world, according to Tripura media sources internal talks, who is acting as self appointed advisor of BJP CM Biplab Deb.   

There are uncountable cases filed against Syandan Patrika various fake news and the cost of extortion was had to give by senior journalist late Sudip Dutta Bhowmik who was brutally murdered on Nov 21,2017 by TSR commandant Tapan Debbarma along with involvement of few more police officials.

Even though, Sudip Dutta Bhowmik was working in other media houses but immediately after the murder incident, Subal Dey took the lead role, to give the impression before media that he is much caring about the slain journalist where back of his mind the reality was fearing Subal Dey which is his extortion culture. 

As per witness reports, TSR trooper shot dead Sudip Datta Bhowmik from point-blank range just outside the office of Commandant Tapan Debbarma at around 11.30 a.m. on 21st Nov,2017.

Surprisingly, the journalist was taken to GB Pant Hospital here at around 2.30 p.m where doctors declared him brought dead. 

Even according to extortionist Subal Dey in order to hide his crimes, Subal Dey stated later that the slain Journalst Sudip Dutta Bhawmik received a call on his mobile phone from Commandant Tapan Debbarma on 21st November 2017 morning. Debbarma asked Bhowmik to meet him at his office later in the day so that he could present his side of the story, the editor said.

But fact is this was not the first news published against Tapan Debbarma and after publishing news against a person, why journalist will visit to meet the same person against whom he filed the news.  So the question is Who is responsible for Sudip Datta Bhowmik murder ? Answer is, the Killer’s grudge was on Sandyan paper for continuous money extortion by Editor Subal Dey. 

“A theory doing the rounds in the media is that a scuffle broke out when Bhaomik refused to undergo a body search after Debbarma accused him of trying to steal documents and money from his office”, the Scroll.in reported on 23rd November 2017 adding Police didn’t confirm the defend of the accused murderer although.   

Subal Dey published fake news in Syandan paper about  financial irregularities in the 2nd Tripura State Rifles, then Debbarma’s irregularities were close to Rs 10 crore and Tapan Debbbarma's extra-martial affair.      Subal Dey's extortion racket not only destroyed  TSR Commandant Tapan Debbarma's career, also destroyed Journalist Sudip Datta Bhowmik's life.         

After Sudip Datta Bhowmik's murder, this is same Subal Dey used this murder to enact public dramas of sympathy which made him to collect more money ( selling attack on Journalists theory) and travels including a meeting with President in Delhi.
