AGARTALA, Nov 27 (TIWN): Even after brutal murder of colleague Durga Chandra Hrangkhawl, Tripura Police has miserably failed to arrest the main kingpin in the murder case, opposition to media report although hinted chief involvement of ruling party leaders in that case.

Infact DGP A K Sukla himself mentioned about the brutality of the murderer and promised no one will be pardoned.

Congress has demanded CBI investigation in Police officer Durga Chandra Hrankhawl murder case.

Police said that 3 persons were arrested in this connection Ishak Miah and two noted drug smugglers, Idrish Miah of Sonamura and Abu Khayer of Jatrapur and the 3rd name could not be revealed but the prime accused in the brutal murder of the police officer are still at large.

So far no press briefing was given by the Police Headquarter.

On Thursday night, 3 Phensedyl smuggling convoy circled honest police officer Durga Chandra Hrankhawl and murdered him by overrunning vehicle over slain officer.

The incident took place at Sonamura-Boxonagar road at around 11.30 pm when on being informed via secret sources Karamchara Police led by Durga Chardra Hrangkhawl rushed to the spot and chased the vehicle. At first a Swift car rushed over the police official whereas more vehicles came behind it. After the incident immediately he was taken to Boxonagar hospital and referred in GB. Today around 9.50 am he breathed his last. 

These phensedyl carrying vehicle has killed  the police officer was a sub-inspector appointed in Karamchara PS named Durga Chardra Hrangkhawl.Today he was paid the last tribute by the Police and State administration.The murder took place when the police official was doing his duty honestly and stopped the vehicle. The smugglers ran the vehicle over the police official.

During his visit at slain police officer Durga Chandra Hrangkhawl’s family, former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar has recalled what DGP A K Sukla told media after the death of brave officer Durga Chandra Hrankhawl, who was killed by drug smugglers of Thursday.

Meeting the family members, Manik Sarkar said that the honest police officer had to give his life and if Govt/ administration display any kind of weakness before the criminals then it will encourage criminals more.
