AGARTALA, Nov 9 (TIWN): Lashing out the State BJP Govt for its brutal ESMA Law to prevent employees’ protests on road, former Industry Minister Pabitra Kar has hit Chief Minister Biplab Deb’s proposed Cow-based industries’ growth to generate revenues for Govt, enabling DAs for the State Govt Employees in future. Kar said, Chief Minister’s statement proves how uneducated he is, has no data, no knowledge to talk before public. In an interview with TIWN, Pabitra Kar said, “When tons of DAs are pending, the employees can not protest due to BJP Govt’s introduced ESMA law”. Citing an example from a recent incident Pabitra Kar said, “The employees are at risks of their jobs. If anything they say, they are punished, they are suspended, they are terminated. In case of former CPI-M Minister Badal Chowdhury, Police did their best to please the ruling Govt but still 8 Police officials were suspended, but nobody could protest. Employees are protesting but the protest is not in that way which it ought to be.

Because, ESMA is being used to suppress the employees’ voice, so that they can not initiate any movement against the Govt. “Such a Black-Law was never experienced in Tripura, however, are active in other BJP ruled states”, Pabitra Kar told media.

“There is not doubt that 7th Pay Commission can not be given anymore. When CPI-M Govt was in power, then every year two times, DAs were given, so that the gap can be filled up. CPI-M Govt already gave 2.25 factor and 0.32 factor was left and that gap was only filled by the BJP Govt”, he added.

“Now when employees are demanding DAs, now Chief Minister is asking them to rear cows. It gives a clean signal that no more DA can be given. This statement from a CM proves him as uneducated, without any data”, Pabitra Kar told TIWN.

The statement came after Tripura CM Biplab Deb on November 3, 2013 linked DA with revenues income from milk industries while addressing at Sangha backed Officers meeting in Agartala Town Hall. Deb said, “Nobody will get DA even if they continue to look at his face”.
