AGARTALA, Nov 5 (TIWN): Congress Statesman & IITian, a noted scholar Joyram Ramesh bluntly exposed BJP’s illegal attacks on Democracy, attacks on opposition voices across India.?When Tripura BJP Govt is attacking the clean politicians, opposition leader Badal Choudhury via police and other strong arm tactics, Congress national leadership reminded how since a long period BJP Govt and its PM Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah is using a “trishul” against the opposition when public supports are less and they lose the majority. Congress top National leader Joyram Ramesh on Tuesday hit out the BJP Govt at centre for attacking oppositions with various institutions which were earlier known as independent institution and attacked the BJP-led central government saying it was trying to redefine democracy through the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Income Tax department (IT).

Ramesh who is visiting in Tripura, arrived today afternoon said, “What would they (Modi, Amit Shah) do if they do not get majority and lose popularity ? In such situations, the Prime Minister and Home Minister have 3 instruments to use against the oppositions : CBI, ED, IT”.

It can be mentioned here before the arrest and fabricated case was filed against Badal Choudhury he told media clearly that BJP in Tripura is moving in the same way, which Modi Govt at Centre moved against former Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram.

Jairam Ramesh further mentioned that Congress will fight against all odds as this is the second colonized India after British left India.

“After British era, this the second Freedom Struggle of India against Nation’s enemy BJP, RSS. Congress will be successful to free India from the BJP's terror”, said Jairam Ramesh.

Talking about Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB), the Congress leader said it is a violation of constitution written by Dr B R Ambedkar as the country is a secular by nature whereas today BJP is functioning in all ways against the democracy and the constitution.

He also said, converting Jammu & Kashmir into Union Territory is the biggest betray to Sardar Ballabh Bhai Patel.
